Check Out Gigs began life as a listings website for up-and-coming bands in London. Soon we realised there was a gap in the market - people wanted to see the best of those bands. So we started putting on gigs, not just checking them out…
Since then we’ve run nights at Metro (RIP, darn Crossrail), Dingwalls, Hoxton Bar & Kitchen and more. Sometimes it’s been once a month, sometimes twice, sometimes more. Sometimes it’s just a one-off thing when we see the chance to do something special - Kendal Calling 2008 and again in 2009, or The COG Stage at the Great Escape in May. Next thing you know we’ll be at In The City back home in the North……………
At the moment, the best place to check us out is Club COG, on the first Saturday of every month at The Lexington. We genuinely believe London’s best regular live music night is in London’s best live small music venue. We promise you bands - and damn good bands - from 7.30pm until 11pm, then guest DJs playing the best indie and alternative songs until 3am or later.
